The Blue Tits have returned again this year. They have found a safe nesting spot – through a small gap in the bottom corner of one of the sash windows at the rear of the building. This will be the fifth year running that this family of Tits has taken advantage of a tiny whole in the timber framed window.
Since hatching, the demanding calls of the Blue Tit chicks have stirred the parent birds into something of a frenzy. Both adults are making return trips to the shreaking infants every five minutes or so.
I am hoping that this year I can catch the little ones making their first venture out into daylight – so stay tuned! It could be any day now.
